Starting a new club
If you have a particular interest, subject, religion, culture or political affiliation, which is not covered by the clubs list, why not start your own?
It’s FREE to apply!!
Minimum Numbers
You need at least 10 Flinders University Students to get started and FCCS may be able to assist with affiliation, a basic constitution, bank accounts, promotion (eg. via Flinders One website) and applying for grants.
If you are yet to find your 10 members to become an affiliated club, we can still help!
We can provide you with spaces for you to meet to get the ball rolling.
Oasis is a great space for you to meet, with several spaces including the Common Room, Quiet Space and the Lounge. There is capacity for 60, 20, and 12 people, respectively. To book these spaces, please email us with your preferred dates and times. We book on a term by term basis to make it fair for all students wishing to use these spaces.
Management
The running of the club is the responsibility of its management committee and FCCS rarely gets involved with a club’s management or impinge on its autonomy.
The structure of the club management will be determined by its constitution and the objectives of the club.
A standard constitution can be provided for each club to adopt at the inaugural general meeting for the club.
For details, documents and resources to assist you in this process, please visit the clubs administration page on the new Flinders One Sport & Fitness website
