Orientation Festival Programs
O’Week Semesters One & Two
Orientation Week is traditionally the first chance for new students to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings and find out about services, activities, clubs and academic programs. O’Week is a busy period not just for new and returning students but it also serves as a great way for sponsors to generate awareness of their products and/or services.
O’Week is held in the first week of the University semester and is highly attended with up to 4,000 students per day attending activities on campus. The Orientation period is a showcase of bands, DJs, comedy acts, BBQs and other general activities, with an O’ Ball held in March on campus. The O’ Ball features a lineup of some of the hottest local and international bands, with attendances of 2000 people or more.
Sampling Tents, Show bags and sampling events
Offering your products to sample to students is a great way for students to familiarise themselves with what your organisation has to offer them and is always well received. Samples are best distributed during O’ Week being the biggest in the Flinders University calendar.
During O’ Week, Flinders one provides the opportunity to get your offer directly in the hands of your desired market. The benefits of distributing your organisation’s new product, merchandise, leaflet, or sales offer are numerous. From launching your new product to promoting brand awareness, sampling targets a highly desirable demographic market.
On Campus Roaming
You are offered the chance to roam the Flinders campus – with product samples or simply talking with students. Flinders One can supply two roaming PR models or you can supply your own well-trained team.
Sponsors are also given the chance to be part of the Flinders One BBQ promotion, which happens during these days. This gets your message directly to the market, along with a great PR message.
Multiscreen Billboard System and Poster Poles
An extremely imaginative way to fire into action your potential consumers is to use our multiscreen billboard system. This system is an audio-visual billboard used to promote services, activities and products to our members, university faculties and visitors to the University. Text, images, and sound relating to your organisation are fed into a central system that is then simultaneously broadcast on 7 subsystems, located in various locations around campus. The MBS messages are updated daily and can be quickly and easily modified to convey any message at any time. There are also 9 poster display areas on campus, which can be used to gain awareness of your organisation or event 365 days, 24 hours a day.
Advertising opportunities are available to sponsors inclusive of their sponsorship package. Each slide is shown approximately 20 times per hour, (120 - 200 times per week). The systems currently operate in The Tavern, Retail One outlets (both Main Campus and Sturt), Coopers Bar and Diner, Spicy Wok, the Blue Duck Café, Sage Restaurant and Red Vines Café. We accept high-resolution jpeg images (300dpi), either via email or disk, if the file size is excessive.
